American Bear Cabin

Located in the Bear Creek Crossing Resort, the traditional log American Bear Cabin is a classic mountain getaway with some great extras! The 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom cabin for 8 is semi private and boasts a patriotic motif throughout the cabin, easy parking on a flat, paved driveway (motorcycle friendly), access to indoor and outdoor community pools, a fun game room, a soothing outdoor hot tub, and peaceful wooded and mountain views! It's also packed with lots of conveniences, making you feel at home while still swept away by the Smoky Mountain grandeur! Plus, American Bear Cabin is just a few miles from downtown, so it'll be easy to head into town for dinner, shopping, and playing at the dozens of attractions!  

Living Room

An inviting log exterior is matched by a charming patriotic interior when you step inside American Bear Cabin. This 2-story cabin boasts high ceilings and large windows, creating an open, airy atmosphere where you can feel right at home. Slip into comfort in the American Bear Cabin living room, where you’ll find 3 cozy seating options: a full-size blue couch accompanied by 2 red-and-white-striped sitting chairs. In the middle of this space is a large coffee table for midnight munchies or board games on a rainy day. And the focal point of the living room is a large, stacked stone (electric) fireplace with a 50-inch flatscreen TV mounted on it. The TV even has a Blu-ray player and surround sound system, so be sure to plan for a movie night or two during your stay at American Bear Cabin!

Kitchen

The open-concept design of American Bear Cabin leaves the living room open to the kitchen and adjoining dining room. So you can keep your favorite TV shows on while you prep and cook inside this cabin’s stylish kitchen. Enjoy dark granite countertops with matching black appliances along with light wood cabinets inside American Bear Cabin. This kitchen also comes complete with countertop appliances like a coffeemaker, toaster, and blender. Plan to stop by a local market like the Apple Barn General Store and pick up Smoky Mountain must-haves like apple butter and apple-strawberry wine, and enjoy homemade biscuits in the cabin on a lazy summer morning. Then sip your glass of locally made wine on your rocking chair porch while the sun sets over the mountains.

Dining Room

Connected to the modern kitchen inside American Bear Cabin is the dining room, which offers a wood-and-glass-top table with place settings for 6. The mix of black chairs with an oak-colored tabletop complements the design of the kitchen and offers a pleasant place to enjoy your pancake breakfasts, deli-style lunches, or homemade dinners during your stay. Another option for your getaway to Pigeon Forge is to pick a restaurant that delivers or offers takeout so you can enjoy your meal from the comfort of American Bear Cabin. This way you get the best of both worlds—a place to eat with private views of the Smokies and a meal you didn’t have to prepare! Or you can clear the table and set up for family game night!

Rec Room

Pigeon Forge is loaded with fun things to see and do. Attractions like the Comedy Barn Theater keep families coming back to the Smokies year after year. But when you stay at one of our Pigeon Forge cabins, especially one like American Bear Cabin, you won’t have to make the short drive to downtown Pigeon Forge to have a great time. In the loft of this cabin, you’ll find a wide variety of exciting amenities that will keep your family entertained for hours!

Enjoy a full-size pool table, air hockey table, foosball and dart board in this large loft space. There’s also a flatscreen TV where the kids can watch their favorite shows or you can catch a ball game. Besides the game tables, enjoy a 120-game Legends arcade and checkers table in the American Bear Cabin rec room. You can play a round of checkers while soaking in tree-studded views of the Smokies from 2 large windows in this space.

Bedrooms

American Bear Cabin is an ideal size for family or small-group getaways. The 2 bedrooms inside this cabin, which are located on the first floor, each offer a king-size bed, a private bathroom, and a flatscreen TV. The master suite also features an indoor jetted tub and a shower with a sit-down bench. If you need more sleeping space than these 2 bedrooms provide, take advantage of the queen-size sofa bed and extra sleeper in the loft. Total, you’ll be able to accommodate 8 guests inside American Bear Cabin for a Pigeon Forge family vacation that’s full of comfort and fun!

Outdoor Spaces

One of the all-time favorite amenities of our Pigeon Forge cabins is an on-the-deck hot tub, where you can soak away your stress while you soak in the sights. American Bear Cabin doesn’t disappoint with its covered outdoor hot tub enhanced by a privacy screen on one side and open views to the Smoky Mountain trees on the other. American Bear Cabin also offers an outdoor gas grill for family cookouts or Memorial Day barbecues and a couple of rocking chairs joined by a swinging bench, where you can gaze at the tree-covered mountains on a quiet Smoky Mountain morning.

A perfect indoor attraction for a rainy day, the Titanic Museum will keep you entertained for hours. You’ll have the chance to read stories from original Titanic passengers, view hundreds of original artifacts, and more!
