Although the Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg trolleys aren’t completely free, they’re much better than parking in a lot where you pay by the hour. Passengers can purchase a day pass for $3.00 or less to ride anywhere throughout the day, hopping on and off the trolleys as much as they’d like. You can park your car for free at Patriot Park and then take a ride on the trolley to get where you want to go.That’s quite a deal for the entire day! Plus, you don’t have to do any of the driving.

2. Free Parking Areas in Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge

There are a few great parking lots in the area that are completely free. We recommend checking with restaurants and attractions to see if their lots are free before arriving. Some of the places have free parking lots, so you can drive to and from each place without the high price tag. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is free to enter and park, so any days you want to drive into the mountains, you can experience true beauty without a penny.

3. Walk the Parkways

When you’re staying in the Smoky Mountains, you won’t be staying far from the fun and excitement along the Parkway in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. Many visitors choose to take a stroll along the Parkway during the day.
