Come See the Smokies in Your RV

For most of us, taking a vacation means traveling in a car or a plane to reach our destination. A plane usually gets you there faster, while a car trip usually costs less and lets you enjoy the scenery. There is another option that involves taking your vehicle and your home at the same time – that’s right, an RV.

RVs are really cool. I don’t need to go in to all the details about the different types, sizes, options, etc., because we have limited space. But here’s the point – if you have an RV, there’s several places to stay in Sevier County.

Up the Creek RV Camp is located a few miles from Pigeon Forge. They can accommodate any size RV with their spacious sites. They have creekside sites and have Wi-Fi and cable TV available at some sites. They even have kitchen sites, with a grill, sink and refrigerator along with patio dining on the creek.

Adventure Bound Camping Resorts in Gatlinburg has a lot of options for kids, with their 27’ Mount Rushmore slide, Turbo Obstacle Course and Jump and Slide combo. There’s also the Jack Tales Theater, which presents humorous mountain tall tales that are based on folk stories passed down by generations. They’ve got all types of RV sites, tent sites, and cabins for rent.

Smoky Bear Campground in the Cosby/Gatlinburg area has RV sites, tent sites and cabins. They have a clubhouse that can accommodate 70 people. Picnic tables, fire rings, heated pool and spa and a playground are just some of the amenities.

All of these places are great options for places to stay when you bring your RV to the Smokies. They each have their own unique offerings, so find out what you want to have when you stay here and then hit the road!
