About the Double Decker Bus Tours

You’re used to seeing the red double decker buses in popular cities around the world, but not in the Smoky Mountains! Now, you can tour the Smokies in a whole new way in an authentic, European bus. The bus has two levels of viewing, and the driver will be sitting on the right instead of left! The buses offer more than just a ride through town — you’ll have a tour guide who will tell you about all the best things to do, places to eat, attractions to see and more. As of now, there are 11 stops along the tour. You’ll make a continuous loop from Sevierville to Gatlinburg.

Double Decker Bus Route

The Double Decker Bus Tours start in Sevierville and make stops in both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, so you’ll be able to sit back and relax and just enjoy the sights all around you! Here are the stops you can expect to make on the tour:

1. Apple Barn
2. WonderWorks
3. The Incredible Christmas Place
4. Lumberjack Square

The bus then heads to Gatlinburg, where it enters on the Parkway, turns right on River Road, and heads to the intersection of River Road and Leconte Street for the first stop in Gatlinburg.

5. Gatlinburg Convention Center
6. Rowdy Bear Gatlinburg

After Rowdy Bear Gatlinburg, the bus will head back to Pigeon Forge.

9. Crave Golf Club
10. Alcatraz East Crime Museum
11. Rowdy Bear Mountain Adventure Park in Pigeon Forge

After Rowdy Bear, the bus continues back to its starting point to drop off passengers and pick up the next round.

Cades Cove Loop RoadThis tour allows you to experience Cades Cove in a one-of-a-kind way. You’ll ride the Executive Shuttle Bus along the look to see wildlife, historic buildings and the rest of what Cades Cove has to offer. This fall, you’ll be able to enjoy a Sunset Cades Cove tour that begins at 5:30 p.m. daily.

Pigeon Forge Party Bus Tour by Hard Rock Cafe

Double Decker Bus Tours teamed up with Hard Rock Cafe to create the ultimate party experience in the Smoky Mountains! For the Party Bus Tour, you’ll hop on a 2-story, open-air bus that has seating for up to 40 people! It also has a premium sound system, a host and more. Bring your own drinks, and the party bus will have the rest! This tour departs from the Hard Rock Cafe in Pigeon Forge and takes you up and down the Parkway. The bus isn’t just for adults, however. Soon, the party bus will be hosting everything from church youth parties to children’s birthday parties.

Sevier Distillery Tour

Hop on the double decker bus and take a ride to Sevier Distillery. This tour includes a mixology class where you’ll get to make mixed drinks using the distillery’s brands — and you’ll get to drink them! You’ll also get a behind-the-scenes tour of the distillery, and if they’re making a product while you’re there, you’ll get to taste it coming from the distilling vats! This tour lasts about 1.5 – 2.5 hours and is only for those 21 and older.

Smoky Mountains VIP Highlight Tour

See the best of the Smokies along this double decker bus tour! This is the most unique tour in the Smoky Mountains, going to Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail, Newfound Gap, Clingmans Dome, the Mountain Farm Museum and Mingus Mill, Oconaluftee Indian Village, Museum of the Cherokee Indian, Mingo Falls and Soco Falls. Because of all the stops, this is an all-day tour. It lasts 8 to 9 hours and includes lunch and tickets to the museum!

Biltmore Tour

Double Decker Bus Tours takes you to America’s largest home and the top attraction in Asheville, NC — the Biltmore Estate! Take time away from the crowds in the Smokies to explore this estate. This bus tour is the best way to visit the Biltmore Estate because you don’t have to worry about the hassle of traveling, parking or driving! Please note that this tour requires a minimum of 10 guests.

Smoky Mountain Wine Trail

You’ll get to sample from over 70 unique wines by the time the trail is completed. Not only do you get to sample wine, but you also get to take in gorgeous views of the Smokies while you do it! The tour includes visits to Mountain Valley Winery, Mill Bridge Winery, Hillside Winery, Apple Barn Winery and Apple Barn Cider House. Also coming soon is the Double Decker Bus Tour to Harrah’s Casino. Travel to Cherokee, NC, where you can put your luck to the test and experience nightlife, gambling, a luxurious spa, and delicious dining. The casino has live table games like blackjack, roulette, craps and more. When you book this tour, you’ll get $20 of free gameplay when you arrive on site!
