New Attraction in Pigeon Forge: Buttonwillow Civil War Theater
A Civil War-themed theater is opening soon in Pigeon Forge! In March, you’ll have the chance to visit a new attraction: the Buttonwillow Civil War Theater. It will be unlike any show you’ve seen before in the Smokies. We’ve got all the details on the new attraction in Pigeon Forge:
About the Buttonwillow Civil War Theater
On March 1, the Buttonwillow Civil War Theater will open its doors. This fascinating show tells the story of two cousins from East Tennessee. One is pro-Union, and one is pro-Confederate. Both struggle to understand the other’s view of saving the South. While the story is fictional, it does include real facts about history. Steve Gipson, the owner of the theater and show leader, says the show “will make you laugh and cry in awe.” The new attraction in Pigeon Forge will be located right on the Parkway! They are currently looking for actors and hope to be open year-round, with about 500 shows annually.
