Townsend Pays Special Tribute To Smoky Mountain Heritage This Winter
The 2014 Winter Heritage Festival in the Smokies will be held February 7-8 in beautiful Townsend, TN. Known as “the quieter side of the Smokies,” Townsend is home to many fun and exciting things to do including river tubing, hiking, and auto tours.
This special Smoky Mountain event honors the rich heritage and culture that have helped mold the area into the exciting vacation spot it is today. Topics of interest cover a wide range including human history, natural beauty, and cultural traditions.
The Winter Heritage Festival is free to attend. Guests interested in attending one of the Smoky Mountain event’s musical workshops are requested to please pre-register. Also, lunch and dinner will be provided at a small cost.
In 2013, the Winter Heritage Festival was named one of the Top 20 Events in the Smoky Mountains by the Southeast Tourism Society. This year’s event is sure to be just as exciting
