Spring has sprung in the Smoky Mountains, and you know what that means? It’s time for the 32nd Annual Dolly Parade in Pigeon Forge. The best part? You and your family are invited to join us in the celebration – for free!
It’s no secret that Dolly Parton is the one and only Smoky Mountain Sweetheart, and every year in the spring the community comes together to honor Dolly with her very own parade. The 2017 Dolly Parton Parade in Pigeon Forge is sure to be a huge success, and we’re excited to share all of the details with you.
About the Dolly Parade
Along with the grand marshal, Dolly Parton, parade guests will enjoy watching as horses, local performers, marching bands, decorative floats, baton twirlers and more pass by along the parade route. Visitors planning to attend this year’s Pigeon Forge Dolly parade will want to arrive early. The Dolly Homecoming parade is known to draw up to 50,000 fans from all over the world.
When is the Dolly Parade?
This year’s Dolly parade will be the 32nd annual homecoming parade. The parade will be held on May 5, beginning at 6 p.m. The event’s route will begin at Traffic Light #6 and it will head toward Sevierville to traffic light #3, near The Track.
What to Bring to the Dolly Parade
Don’t forget to bring your favorite foldable chair to ensure you have a cozy place to sit during the event! And, as always, we recommend arriving early to find a good parking spot – or you might be stuck walking a good distance to see the parade.

SpringFest Kickoff
Along with cheering on Dolly, the annual Dolly parade is also the unofficial kick off celebration for SpringFest. The Smoky Mountain SpringFest is the season-long celebration of spring time in the Smokies. Other exciting upcoming events that are part of this year’s SpringFest include Music of the Mountains, Bloomin’ BBQ and Bluegrass, Gatlinburg’s Beans and Cornbread Blast as well as rod runs and car shows.
