The Island in Pigeon Forge is a one-stop location for all kinds of fun! The Island has restaurants, shopping and things to do for the entire family. The Island continues to grow, adding more attractions all the time, so here’s some updated information about the Island area to help you plan your vacation.

The Pigeon Forge Community Center is a great place to spend a little time when you’re on vacation. Whether you want to go swimming, play basketball, go bowling or workout, we know you can find something fun to do! The community center is especially great for groups who want to get out and play some sports, too!

The Ripken Experience in Pigeon Forge has only been open since the ribbon-cutting in March 2016. It was expected that it would do well, but the youth baseball complex has done even better than expected in its first 3 months!

Dollywood’s New Autism Calming Room

Looking for something new for your family to do while you’re on vacation? Speedwerkz Exotic Car Museum in Pigeon Forge is a must see! It’s completely different from any other car museum in the area and people of all ages will enjoy it - whether you’re a car enthusiast or you just want to see something a little different during your visit.

On May 21-22, Hallmark Channel’s “Home & Family” recently visited Pigeon Forge to record 5 shows - all recorded at Dollywood - to give their viewers an inside look at everything Dollywood has to offer, plus a “behind the scenes” look at Dolly Parton’s life.

In June 2015, Dolly Parton acquired the Lumberjack Feud in Pigeon Forge TN. Now, the Lumberjack Feud has become Dolly Parton’s Lumberjack Adventure Pigeon Forge, and it will be open for your next visit to the area! Opening day for the new attraction is Friday, May 20, 2016, and here’s what else we know about the new Pigeon Forge attraction:

Time certainly flies when you’re having fun! Believe it or not, the famous Dollywood theme park turned 30 years old in May of 2016! To celebrate the park’s big birthday, Visit My Smokies is taking a look back at Dollywood’s incredible history. Since 2015, crews have been working on creating The Ripken Experience, a $22.5 million Pigeon Forge baseball complex. The complex in Pigeon Forge officially opened on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The modern, state-of-the-art facility is a great addition to Pigeon Forge and we are excited about how many visitors the new complex will attract to the area.
