Smoky Mountain Opry Entertains in Pigeon Forge
Sevier County has long been known for its theater shows, with lots of singing, dancing, comedy, etc. There’s a relatively new show in the area that has all this, plus incredible light displays and a flying cowboy.
The new Smoky Mountain Opry has got
energetic musicians, singers, dancers, and comedians along with massive
lighting, pyrotechnics, special effects, and yes, the aforementioned buckaroo.
Even though there’s lots of country in the show, there are songs from the Big
Band era to contemporary rock-n-roll, from Frank Sinatra and Etta James to
Michael Jackson and Madonna!
Later in the year, be sure to catch the Christmas
show. With unbelievable special effects, wonderful Christmas music, Santa and
dancing reindeer, flying sugar plum fairies and the area’s largest nativity,
Christmas truly does come to life at the Smoky Mountain Opry. Some of the
features include the area’s largest live band spotlighting a brass section, fiber-optic costumes, toys that come to life, andlasers
and snow in the theater.
If you’re not sure what to see in
Sevier County when it comes to theater shows, but you know you’d like to see a
little bit of everything, try the Smoky Mountain Opry. It will
truly impress you from start to finish.
