How much does it cost to visit The Island?

The great thing about The Island is that it’s absolutely free! Parking is free, riding the trolley from the parking area to The Island is free and walking around and browsing is all free!

If you want to take a ride on the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel, stop in for lunch or dinner or have fun shopping, you’ll find plenty of affordable things to do!

What time of day is best to visit The Island?

Depending on what you want to do and how much time you have to spend, both day and night are great options! It’s easy to spend an entire day at The Island if you want to ride the rides and spend time at some of the attractions.

Everything at The Island is open into the evening, so you can have just as much fun during the day as you can at night.

The main difference is The Great Smoky Mountain Wheel and the view you want to see. If you want to take a ride on the Wheel during the day, you’ll be able to see all of the attractions and places that line the Pigeon Forge Parkway. When you visit at night, the view shows the beautiful lights that shine across the area.

The Great Smoky Mountain Wheel

Even if you’ve never been to The Island, you probably know about The Great Smoky Mountain Wheel. It’s like a modern-day ferris wheel, standing 200 feet tall with climate controlled, all-glass gondolas. It’s the center attraction at The Island in Pigeon Forge, and it’s one you don’t want to miss!

Island Mirror Maze

The 3,000 square foot Island Mirror Maze is a great place to explore the maze of illusions at The Island. At the maze, you’ll see there’s a regular mirror maze mission and a Mission Impossible game where you race your way through lasers – crawling and bending your way through them for the highest score.

The Island Show Fountains

The Island Show Fountains present quite the water show – unlike anything you’ve seen in Pigeon Forge! The water show bursts up to 60 feet in the air and is synchronized to music and lights. We love watching the fountains at night the best! Shows play every 30 minutes, starting at the top of the hour.

The Island Ropes Course

The Island Ropes CourseDepending on your height, there’s 2 courses – Sky Tikes and Sky Trail Explorer. The Sky Tikes course is for children who want to stay a little closer to the ground. Parents can walk beside their children along the course, too. Sky Trail Explorer is for adults and children looking for a 3-story challenge. There’s 30 elements, 2 ziplines and a quick jump. There’s not a time limit on either course, so you can explore for as long as you want.
