Margaritaville to be New Restaurant in Pigeon Forge At The Island
UPDATE: The opening of Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville has been rescheduled for early summer 2014.
The Island in Pigeon Forge recently settled the rumors of whether or not the big name restaurant Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville was coming to Pigeon Forge. Spoiler alert, they are!
Rumors originally began about the possibility of a Margaritaville opening in the Smoky Mountain area a few years ago, but city officials have recently cited the passing of the new liquor by the drink law as the final push needed for the new restaurant in Pigeon Forge.
To accompany the relaxed island theme of the new restaurant in Pigeon Forge, visitors will enjoy delicious Key West inspired dishes like a lobster and shrimp salad, Jimmy’s Jammin Jambalaya and a crab cake sandwich. Classic American favorites will also be on the menu like the California chicken sandwich and a New York strip steak. Not to mention Jimmy’s own handcrafted Cheeseburger in Paradise.
The new restaurant in Pigeon Forge will also feature decadent desserts like a New York style cheesecake, banana bread pudding and, of course, a key lime pie.
Of age visitors to Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville will also enjoy island-inspired cocktails including the Hurricane. A tribute to Jimmy’s popular song with country legend Alan Jackson, visitors can also receive their drink in a souvenir glass for an extra fee.
After you have finished your meal, be sure to check out Margaritaville’s famous gift shop. The gift shop showcases a variety of t-shirts, glassware and other memorabilia dedicated to the restaurant’s namesake and his popular music.
Located in the southern section at the Island in Pigeon Forge, Margaritaville is set to open on Valentine’s Day of 2014. The new Margaritaville will be a prequel to the opening of the final phase of the Island in Pigeon Forge that will showcase a hotel, a 2 million dollar water fountain and several new restaurants and retailers.
