Sharks
Although you aren’t going to come across sharks in the local rivers or swimming holes in the Smoky Mountains, you are sure to find them in Gatlinburg at Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies! In the aquarium, you can ride a path that glides you through a tunnel to see 12-foot sharks swim around you. You will even be close enough to the sharks to look at their teeth! This is one attraction everyone must see in Gatlinburg!
An Iceberg
Even in the summertime, Pigeon Forge has a year-round iceberg! The Titanic Museum Attraction in Pigeon Forge is one of only two locations! When you arrive, you will receive a boarding pass that gives information of a real person aboard the Titanic. Throughout the interactive journey, you will learn about your character as you walk through galleries containing more than 400 artifacts. There are many educational interactive displays as well, including trivia knowledge for children and adults! At the Titanic attraction, you can walk up the handcrafted Grand Staircase. There is also an area to touch the frigid chill of a real iceberg!
Christmas Trees Year Round
The Christmas Place is a popular attraction in Pigeon Forge throughout the year. The Incredible Christmas Place is the largest Christmas store in the South. The Christmas Place has everything from lights and ornaments to gifts, home decor, jewelry, and personalized items. Throughout the shopping area, guests will find decorated Christmas trees, Santa figurines, nativity scenes, and hundreds of ornaments! Everyone can find something at The Christmas Place, even in the middle of summer!
