Sasquatch Goes on an Adventure at Anakeesta in Gatlinburg
With all the crowds gone, Anakeesta has a new visitor exploring the adventure park: Sasquatch. The Gatlinburg attraction has caught Bigfoot’s adventures on camera and is sharing them on its Facebook page for everyone to see! Anakeesta staff members mentioned they may have spotted Sasquatch throughout the park a time or two, but have never had proof. Now, they do! Watch the first video of Sasquatch at Anakeesta below:
In the video, Bigfoot can be spotted strolling through the empty park, taking in the sights and examining the fire pit. In the second episode of “The Adventures of Sasquatch, you can watch him browsing through Anakeesta’s Adventure Outpost. See it below!

What Else is Happening at Anakeesta?
Sasquatch’s adventures aren’t the only exciting thing happening at Anakeesta in Gatlinburg right now. The attraction has been hard at work finishing the construction of their observation tower for visitors to enjoy when the park opens back up. The observation tower stands 50 feet tall, has 78 steps and offers 360 degree views of Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains! This new tower will be the highest point in all of downtown Gatlinburg. It was designed in the shape of a flower and is expected to have slides, activities and a glass-bottom floor.
More About the 2020 Anakeesta Expansion
Anakeesta continues to grow year after year to provide the best experience for guests. In addition to the new observation tower, the 2020 expansion will bring a new restaurant and new play areas to this Gatlinburg attraction. Smokehouse Brewery will offer Southern BBQ, craft beer and incredible views of Mount LeConte. Outside of the restaurant, Anakeesta will have a water play area that resembles a Tennessee mountain creek and has a waterfall! Near the water play area there will be walk-up windows with frozen yogurt and pizza and two new mountaintop fire pits. But that’s not all — there will also be a new treehouse play area that has a net challenge course and areas to swing and relax.
