All the Details About Clayton’s Landing: The New Expansion at Gatlinburg SkyPark
One of the longest-running Smoky Mountain attractions is getting another upgrade! Clayton’s Landing is the newest addition that’s coming soon to the Gatlinburg SkyPark, with more dining options and so much more! Here’s everything we know so far about the new expansion at Gatlinburg SkyPark:
Clayton’s Landing: The Meaning Behind The Name
The name Clayton’s Landing is a special tribute to the former General Manager of the SkyPark, Clayton Watson. A veteran and lifelong member of the Gatlinburg community, Clayton worked at the SkyPark for 38 years, 26 of which as the General Manager before his retirement in 1998. Mr. Watson passed away in 2019, and now his son Randy serves as the park’s GM.

So what can you expect from the Gatlinburg SkyPark’s expansion? In addition to a new sky deck and viewing area, they’ve already announced two new destinations that create a unique dining experience overlooking the beautiful Smoky Mountains!
Smoky Mountain Smash
As the name suggests, this one-of-a-kind restaurant will feature smash burgers with various gourmet toppings, using locally sourced meats, fresh produce, and house-made sauces. It will have a laid-back atmosphere with outdoor patio seating, ideal for quick bites or a casual and relaxing meal with a view. When the weather gets colder, they’ll also offer hot chocolate and other warm drinks!
Smoky Mountain Sips
Now what better combination is there than burgers and beer? Order a smash burger and then head over to the walk-up bar to grab a brew! You’ll find all the best local craft beer, and they’ll also serve an enticing selection of handcrafted cocktails in addition to non-alcoholic beverage options. From refreshing summertime concoctions to warming winter options, you’ll be able to enjoy your drink while relaxing on the SkyDeck or walking across the SkyBridge; take note that all alcoholic drinks can only be consumed in designated areas of the park.
