Rich Mountain Loop Hiking Trail
Rich Mountain Loop Hiking Trail located in the Cades Cove Area off of the one way loop with a parking lot 7.7 mile in for the trail which is 8.5 miles long round trip with an elevation gain of 1736' with a strenuous difficulty rating for hiking abilities and fitness level required. This trail is a great way to see back into Cades Cove from a walking viewpoint away from the traffic flow taking you through wooded forest areas, glimpses of wildlife, flowering plants, and historic landmark remnants. Along the hike you will have views of Cades Cove, Townsend, and Tuckaleechee Cove.
