Mt. LeConte Hiking Trail from Bullhead
Mt. LeConte Hiking Trail located off of Roaring Fork Motor Trail the trail is 14.4 miles long round trip with an elevation gain of 3993' with a very strenuous difficulty rating for hiking abilities and fitness level required. The summit of Mt. Leconte is extremely well known for the magnificent view from 6593' it is the third highest peak looking out over the Great Smoky Mountains and offers steep climbs, rocky terrain, and a long distance that is a good challenge even for an experienced hiker. The trail from Bullhead will take you past two small caves, many rock cliff faces, and a cairn that overs a vantage view point along the way. Near the top of the trail is LeConte Lodge and overnight cabins that can be reserved.
