Mt. LeConte Hiking Trail from Alum Cave
Mt. LeConte Hiking Trail located off of Newfound Gap Rd the trail is 11 miles long round trip with an elevation gain of 2763' with a more strenuous difficulty rating for hiking abilities and fitness level required. The summit of Mt. Leconte is extremely well known for the magnificent view from 6593' it is the third highest peak looking out over the Great Smoky Mountains and offers steep climbs that is a good challenge even for an experienced hiker. The trail from Alum Cave will take you past the concaved bluff, past several rock ledges, and the Rainbow Falls trail. Near the top of the trail is LeConte Lodge and overnight cabins that can be reserved.
