Huskey Gap Hiking Trail from Little River Trail located in the Elkmont Area Area off of Elkmont Road the trail is 10 miles long round trip with an elevation gain of 1080' with moderate difficulty rating for hiking abilities and fitness level required. From the Little River Trail you will be following beside the Little River cascading over large boulders creating several small waterfalls creating a calming peaceful setting for your hike. The Elkmont area was built into a resort setting in the 1920's with the clubhouse, cabins, and building remaining that you will see along the trail. If you enjoy wildflowers and plant life this trail will have many varieties for you to enjoy and photograph if you want. After you pass the Little River section the trail there is a feeling of quite, solitude, and tranquility with the quietness of the wooded area and relatively low amount of hikers that are typically seen.
